What are the trends that you see in the CAD and product development market going into 2017?

"Driven by constant competitive pressures to speed up the product design and manufacturing cycle, more and more companies are adopting Agile Design processes. Proven successful in the software development world, Agile Design is a new approach to build products faster and with more innovation – strongly emphasizing rapid iteration, tight communication between a geographically diverse team, and an openness to embracing change.

Agile designers and manufacturers are quickly realizing that traditional file-based CAD tools are slowing down their time to market. Traditional CAD forces design teams to work serially (one person at a time) on projects instead of in parallel (multiple people at the same time) and it sometimes forces them to wait days or weeks to get new CAD licenses, provision new computers and install software.

More executives and managers will seek out full-cloud CAD tools that enable real-time deployment, real-time data management and real-time analytics and controls. They are tired of frustrating delays in getting their teams up and running and dealing with communication delays and confusion between siloed departments."
